Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23
For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:36
When God has blessed us with an answered prayer, it’s an incredible relief and not to mention exciting! You have run up the mountain, fought HARD against Satan’s attacks, and PRAYED like your life depended on it. Your story now has VICTORY with all glory to God and it’s important to share it with others. So I’m here to finish my story. I recently discussed my struggles as I entered into a season of unknown a while ago. In those times there were a lot of raw emotions that brought me closer to Christ. Today I want to finish the story.
My husband and I were blessed with opportunities that took us to Nashville last June. We absolutely love it here and we’re really starting to make more connections. Matt and I were recently telling our story in depth about how we got here with God’s faithfulness. Telling our story a couple months removed from the struggles gave me a new perspective. I was speechless and almost in tears when I told step by step God’s hand in our 2016. This was probably the first time I told the story of our journey to Nashville from beginning to end. There was no more guessing of what would happen next. I was able to finish the story and connect His hand in everything and praise Him for everything He has done.
Here’s my point, often times we spend more time on our knees in prayer when we’re in the thick of it than we do praising Him when we reached the top of the mountain. Then we might be afraid to share about our victories and God’s blessings with others. Both of these are so important to finishing the season God took us through
A Posture of Praise
We cannot forget to give Him endless praise and thanksgiving when we broke through the pain, fled from gripping sin, and pushed through the hard season to finally experience the blessings of His faithfulness. Get on your knees, head on the ground (whatever it takes!) and PRAISE HIM for those blessings. How humbling and awesome is it to be in the same posture of prayer you were in weeks, months, years ago begging God to come through, only now you are praising God for coming through! You have come full circle. Give Him endless praise for that!
The end of your struggle may be a long time from now, but even a small victory is worthy of praise. Those small victories are perfect indications that God is near. He hears your cries, sees your pain, and has not left you. In those victories, be encouraged He is still very much at work in you. Maybe the end of your struggle, fight, pain did not bring the result you hoped for. Maybe you feel like there is no victory at all in this story of your life. Go back in prayer and beg Him to show you how He will be glorified in this and what is His purpose for you to learn. When you begin to hear these answers, praise Him. There will be a victory that comes from it.
Tell Someone Your Story
As you’re praising God for His faithfulness, tell someone! One of the reasons I’m grateful for every twist and turn in our story last year is I will forever be able to tell of His perfect faithfulness. My story is not about anything I did or was given. God, and His power, love, grace, and faithfulness, is the star of my victories. I want to tell others my story so HE will shine through. Your victory story could be the extra push someone needs to hear to keep seeking Him and fighting. Whether your story had the result you wanted or not, I guarantee (maybe after some time) you saw God’s glory in it. Tell someone about His glory. Don’t forget to finish the story and praise Him for His faithfulness.Your victory story could be the extra push someone needs to hear to keep seeking Him and fighting. Click To Tweet
